Executive Team
Sirous Thampi
Sirous Thampi has spent 18 years helping energy and infrastructure organizations turn plans into delivered projects. His work focuses on the systems behind reliable execution: PMO development, project management technology, capital program governance, risk and vendor management, and the organizational change required to make those improvements last.
Before founding THAMPICO, Sirous worked as a strategy consultant and project manager with Halcrow, CH2M HILL, and WorleyParsons. Over more than 50 engagements across four continents, he supported infrastructure investment decisions worth hundreds of millions of dollars, including six years managing risk assessment services for the Port of Long Beach.
He later served as Vice President of Innovation and Program Management at REV LNG, where he built the project delivery systems that scaled the company's renewable natural gas portfolio from six projects to dozens in 18 months. He also led the implementation of Procore, making REV one of the first renewable energy developers to run the platform across a fast-growing portfolio.
At THAMPICO, Sirous advises utilities, electric cooperatives, developers, and infrastructure owners on how projects are selected, governed, and delivered. The work typically starts with strategy and doesn't stop there. It runs through implementation, customization, training, and adoption, the parts most advisors leave for someone else to handle.
Sirous holds an MBA and a Master's in Planning from the University of Southern California and a B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. He is a certified Program Management Professional (PgMP) through the Project Management Institute and a Procore Certified Consultant. He speaks Spanish and conversational Thai and has managed infrastructure engagements across the Americas, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
He remains convinced that most project delivery problems can be solved with better systems populated with the most accurate and real-time data, resulting in better decisions and outcomes for all stakeholders.
Samuel Chao
Sam Chao spent nearly 10 years on three continents as project manager and head of business transformation for Honeywell International on global manufacturing footprint strategies. While at Honeywell, Sam repositioned the production of a $1B automotive division through 3 plant closures and a greenfield of a state-of-the-art facility, leading to a successful divestiture.
Most recently, Sam served as Head of Sales in the southwest region for one of the largest custom label manufacturing companies in the United States. He managed 12 direct reports who generated millions of dollars in sales from new and existing accounts annually.
Sam was raised in Southern California, with roots in Taiwan. He has an MBA with a finance and marketing emphasis and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. He is Six Sigma certified and a Procore Certified Consultant.
